The Bonitron M3452-U1600CM14-R7E is a high-current braking transistor designed for large 575–600 VAC variable frequency drive applications that require controlled management of regenerative energy. When the VFD DC bus rises during deceleration or overhauling operation, the unit switches excess energy into an external braking resistor to help limit bus voltage and reduce overvoltage trips. This M14 configuration is rated for 1600 A peak and 1200 A continuous current, with a 940 VDC braking level and 0.58-ohm minimum resistance. Designed for drive systems up to 2015 HP, this model also incorporates the R7E control option, making it well suited for demanding industrial applications that require high-capacity dynamic braking and additional system monitoring capability.
