The Bonitron M3452-C1600M14-R7 is a heavy-duty dynamic braking transistor designed for large 575–600 VAC variable frequency drive systems. This M14 configuration provides 1600 A peak and 1200 A RMS braking capacity, allowing it to manage substantial regenerative energy produced during rapid deceleration or overhauling loads. As DC bus voltage rises, the unit switches excess energy into an external braking resistor to help prevent VFD overvoltage faults and maintain controlled motor stopping. The M3452-C1600M14-R7 uses 575–600 VAC control power, supports a 0.58-ohm minimum braking resistance, and is rated for a 75% duty cycle.
