The Bonitron M3452-H1600T10-R7E is a heavy-duty dynamic braking transistor designed for high-power 460 VAC variable frequency drive systems. Rated for 1600 A peak and 1200 A RMS braking current, this T10 configuration helps control regenerative energy by monitoring the VFD DC bus and switching excess energy into an external braking resistor during deceleration or overhauling conditions. The result is improved control of rising DC bus voltage, helping reduce nuisance overvoltage trips and support reliable motor stopping. This model uses 460 VAC control power and supports a minimum braking resistance of 0.47 ohms. The R7E control option adds extended I/O capabilities, making this configuration well suited for large industrial drive systems requiring high-current dynamic braking and additional monitoring functionality.
