The Bonitron M3452-H1600M14-R7 is a heavy-duty dynamic braking transistor built for high-power 460–480 VAC variable frequency drive systems. Its M14 open-chassis design supports up to 1600 A peak and 1200 A RMS braking current, providing the capacity needed to manage substantial regenerative loads. When rising DC bus voltage is detected, the unit switches excess energy through an external braking resistor to help prevent VFD overvoltage faults and maintain controlled motor deceleration. This configuration uses 460 VAC control power, a 750 VDC braking setpoint, and a 0.47-ohm minimum braking resistance. The standard R7 control board provides discrete control and status functions, making this model well suited for large industrial drive systems requiring dependable high-current dynamic braking.
