M3545P Regenerative DC Bus Power Supply

The M3545P Regenerative DC Power Supply is a bi-directional power supply. Under motoring conditions, the M3545P rectifies the AC line and supplies power to the drive through its DC bus terminals. If the DC bus voltage begins to rise, due to the drive trying to brake or an overhauling load, the M3545P will sink energy back to the AC Line.

Alternative resistive braking solutions simply dissipate this regenerated energy as heat. Bonitron’s M3545P returns the regenerated energy back to the AC line, making it particularly well suited for applications with frequent or extended duration braking events. Additionally, the M3545P is designed to be able to operate on both single-phase and three-phase AC grids, at either 50Hz or 60Hz line frequency.
